Naked 3 // Review & Swatches

To be quite honest I'm ready for winter to be over, I had my expectations too high and I'm now dreaming of sun tans, warm weather, shorts and skirts and light mornings and evenings. However in between now and then is spring and there's not a single more appropriate eye palette for the upcoming months. Full of pinks and browns/taupes with pink undertones, the naked 3 is perfect for the transitional season.

Strange- a light cream shade withe a very subtle baby pink undertone, matte finish. Compliments all of the eye shadows as a base and inner corner shade, also great at highlighting the brow bone.
Dust- a lot like what it says a very light, almost transparent, dusting of light pink sparkly glitter, it's like what you'd imagine fairy dust to look like. It's very pretty and an easy way to make a look more girly, layering on top of another look is simple because it doesn't fully cover the look (applies like a loose pigment).
Burnout- a satin finish, pink/peach.
Limit- a matte finish, mauve shade, very light and needs to be built up if used in the crease/ outer corner.
Buzz- metallic, dark rose, with silver glitter.
Trick- a coppery, orange shade with pink undertone (rose gold), satin finish.
Nooner- a darker version of limit.
Liar- satin finish, (like a satin version of nooner), it's a dark mauve with coppery undertones.
Factory- a mousy, satin, brown with pink/mauve undertones.
Mugshot- metallic, dark taupe, with pink shine.
Darkside- dark, chocolatey, brown, more matte than satin.
Darkheart- a build-able black with red glitter, easy to blend out so works nice in the crease and outer v.
The brush is very useful, one side is flat so its good to sweep shades across the lid and build them up and the other end is thicker and good at blending shades out.

The advantage of this palette is every shade blends nicely together as they all have pink/rose/mauve undertones in, but it also makes the palette not very diverse and varied.
All of the shades apply smoothly and don't crease, wear off or fade.
The packaging is beautiful, lot's off people have complained about it being a tin but I much prefer it, as its hard wearing and easy to clean, the rose gold and gold lettering compliment each other making it look modern and classy.

I'm thinking of doing a post with different looks from this palette, so keep an eye out for that. Overall I love the palette and prefer it to the naked 2, what are your thoughts on the naked 3?

  1. Naked 3 is my favourite palette ever. I do my best not to use it everyday as once I hit pan on most of the shades, my heart will break into pieces.
